Have I fallen into a time warp of some sort? Are the Wizards 0-5 again? NO… NOT POSSIBLE!!!
Sorry Buck, for the second year in a row it is very very possible.
I wonder what it’s like to live in Detroit or Boston or Phoenix, places where teams are expected to win, and guess what? They do. Places where teams don’t piss away November, places where teams are good in the beginning, middle and then peak at the end. Ah, I dream of a Wizards team that can fully grasp that concept.

Just when I was feeling good about professional sports in this area, the Wizards go and tear my dreams apart. Well not intentionally at least.
It was reported today that the much improved Brendan Haywood, will miss 4-6 months, not weeks, nursing a wrist injury. WHY!! First we lose Gil til January, then Jamison goes down in the first preseason game of the year, now this. I can’t take it anymore.
Jamison’s x-ray yesterday revealed a knee contusion, but he vows to be back for the first game of the year in the phone booth against the New Jersey Nets.

Ever wonder how far a Wizards team could go if they stayed healthy all year?
With another season rapidly approaching our dreams of a fully healthy 2008-2009 campaign have been crushed, like Charlie Weis’s leg. The Washington Post reported today that Agent Zero will miss the first month of the season, undergoing his third knee surgery in the past two seasons.
Arenas confirmed the report on his blog, citing floating debris as the cause of his most recent surgery. Arenas said, “It was irritating the knee so we decided to go in there and clean it out. This should actually allow me to come back faster.”

The Olympic ceremonies are over, time to send your 14-year-old Chinese gymnasts back to the rice fields. Oh bye the way, we won the most medals. Take that communism.
Right now the sports world is in a state of anticipation. We eagerly await the beginning of the NFL season, the College Football season and the MLB playoffs. Every time we turn on ESPN or talk radio, every Joe Somebody thinks they know why certain teams will succeed or fail. The funny thing is that most of these predictions will be horribly wrong.
I come to you as a savior. I wont bore you with that garbage, instead I’ve brought you four topics that seemed relevant to me. So they damn well better be relevant to you. Here goes….
