The football gods don’t boo your team. They don’t bring up question after question of why one quarterback is starting over another. These things are left up to the fans and the media. The Football God’s are all powerful, they can completely reverse the ill fate of a struggling program or crush the hopes of a heavy favorite. They crave Parody at any cost, even if they have to merk some cats along the way. So when you see ECU block a punt in the final two minutes against VA Tech, or a UCLA QB throw 4 interceptions only to come back and upset Tennessee, you can bet your ass the Football God’s were present. You see, the Football God’s want Maryland to be good. Really, I promise. How do I know this you ask? Because the God’s have smiled on college park today by keeping starter Jordan Steffy out, and backup Chris Turner in.

Yes we won, but seeing Jordan Steffy posing as a division one quarterback was excruciatingly painful. We have an alien at receiver and no one to get him the ball. Oh wait, don’t we have that guy that started for us last year who beat Rutgers and BC? Hmmmm….very, very frustrating indeed. On a happier note, Da’ Rel Scott’s a beast. Hopefully we can ride this guy for the first couple of games until the Fridge realizes what a mistake he has made with Steffy.

Chris Turner took over and looked spectacular at times, but his inconsistency in both games and practice ultimately lead to The Fridge’s decision.
